The School of Chemistry has at their disposal all types of scientific equipment that they can demonstrate to students. In some cases students will participate in hands-on experiments using these instruments. These include Atomic Absorption Spectrometers, Gas Chromatographs, Infrared Spectrometers, Mass Spectrometers, as well as all types of glassware and chemicals for any type of experiment.

Dr Jeanette Hurst has been running workshops in the School of Chemistry for many years and has been overwhelmed with schools wishing to participate. Over 100 schools came along to work with her in 2007.
