What is Science Alliance?

The Faculty of Science established Science Alliance in 1996 with the aim of bridging the gap between Science at Sydney and high school science teachers and allowing members to tap into the expertise of the scientific staff at the University of Sydney.

Each year the programs and events of the Science Alliance bring over 6,000 school students to the University of Sydney campus to experience hands-on and exciting science programs including the Siemens Science Experience, the Gifted and Talented Discovery Program, the Sydney Science Forum and Kickstart Science.

Many of these programs are specifically designed to cater to the diverse needs of students who have a passion for science and would like to learn more about where this exciting area can take them.

Since it’s inception, Science Alliance membership has been expanded to include members from the general public, University community and the Faculty’s alumni.

Register to become a member and receive the quarterly Science Alliance newsletter and information about the many events that occur throughout the year.
