Didn't do the HSC in 2009?

All the information here is relevant to you. Here are some FAQs for non-year 12 applicants...

1) Who is a non-year 12 applicant?

The following UAC applicants are considered non-year 12 applicants;

  • Did not attempt a 2009 Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia; or
  • Have a deferred offer from 2009; or
  • Are a 2009 Qld Yr 12 external student; or
  • Are a transfer student from another institution

2) How do I apply for admission to the University of Sydney?

Non-year 12 applicants need to apply through UAC by completing the Category B form in the UAC Guide, available from local newsagencies.

The final closing date for applications is Thursday, 4 February, 2010 (a late fee applies). For more information please visit the UAC website.

3) How do I apply for credit from previous study?

4) Am I eligible for Bridging Courses?

Yes. The University Bridging Courses are available to all students entering the university.

It is strongly advised that students undertake a Bridging Course if their degree assumes particular knowledge that they may not have studied in their HSC.

5) Am I eligible for the Science Transition Workshop?

Yes. All new students who enrol in science (from recent school leavers to mature age students) are automatically invited to attend.

The workshop is designed to help students become familiar with the university: campus, other science students, staff, processes, and facilities. New students are encouraged to attend.
