Dean of Science Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship
The Faculty of Science Deans Undergraduate Exchange Scholarships are offered to undergraduate students enrolled in a Faculty of Science award course and intending to study overseas through the University of Sydney Exchange program. Before completing the application form, please check your eligibility to apply by downloading and reading the Conditions of Award. The Scholarship will be offered for the March Semester 2010.
The scholarship will provide a grant of $5,000 to assist with expenses for one semester abroad. There will be up to four scholarships offered for the March Semester 2010.
The scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate student currently studying in an award course within the Faculty of Science who has a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 or higher. In addition, the scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the relevance of the proposed exchange studies to the completion of an undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Science and the student's performance at interview.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant shall have been successfully selected by the University of Sydney for a student exchange of one or two semesters duration at one of the following ten institutions:
- The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
- Cornell University, Ithaca, New York State, USA
- University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
- University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway
- University of Maastricht, Maastricht, The Netherlands
- University of California (all campuses), California, USA
- McGill University, Quebec, Canada
- Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden
- Lund University, Lund, Sweden
- University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland, UK
Scholarship recipients must undertake a minimum of 50% of the overall study load at the overseas institution in Science areas of study and award of the scholarship shall be conditional until acceptance of the applicant by one of the above exchange university’s is confirmed.
Important Dates
IMPORTANT: While these Scholarships are dependent on placement at one of the above listed institutions, placement at the destinations is dependent on normal eligibility and selection criteria governed through the International Office. Some listed destinations are highly competitive and not all applicants will be placed in their preferred exchange destination. The International Office and partner institutions also reserve the right to temporarily suspend programs or not renew agreements without prior notice. The Scholarship will be offered for the March Semester 2010. The application deadline for exchange for March Semester 2010 is Monday 1 June 2009.
